Talbot Youth Travel truly believes the best way to learn about the world is to experience the world. We have taken travelers to historic locations in England to learn about literature, we have visited Machu Picchu and helped build a weaving center while in Peru, and this summer we will visit Pompeii and immerse ourselves in art and history while visiting Rome and Athens. Our travelers leave these tours with a better understanding of the world and their place in it.
EF Tours offer a great value in travel with everything they provide (which is why we use them), and we try to plan our trips over a year in advance to give ample time to allow our travelers to pay for their trip but unfortunately many students still do not have the means to afford these life changing opportunities. We want to change this by offering a scholarship to exceptional students who are financially unable to pay for a trip on their own.
Talbot Youth Travel has developed relationships with organizations in the community that provide donations in trade for providing volunteers for sponsored events, this also allows our student volunteers to earn community service hours which they need to graduate. Now that we have become a registered 501(c)3 TYT will expand on this model. We will also solicit corporations for donations to help offset the additional cost of travel that are not included in the cost of the tour, these include tips to our tour guides and bus drivers and additional excursions sometimes available to travelers to fill in free time.
