Since hotel information has now been posted I’ve been able to put together a basic sketch of what our tour might look like. Please be aware that some of this info is subject to change, I will post more detailed information as we get it.

Update: we now have activities on our departure day to offset the long layover at the airport in Lima.

  • Monday, June 19th – Travel from Baltimore to Lima
  • Tuesday, June 20th – Lima
    • Take a guided tour of Peru’s capital, once known as the City of the Kings.
    • Visit the 17th-century San Francisco Monastery where Jude the Apostle is honored.
    • Explore the Larco Museum for a look at pre-Columbian art.
    • Take a walking tour of Miraflores shopping district.
  • Wednesday, June 21st – Travel to Cuzco
    • Depart Lima @ 9:30am and Arrives in Cuzco @ 11:05am [LATAM Airlines flight #2027]
    • Fly to Cuzco, the unofficial capital of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
    • Visit the Sacsayhuaman archaeological site.
    • Learn about Peruvian pottery at the Seminario Ceramics workshop in Urubamba.
  • Thursday, June 22nd – Travel to Machu Picchu
    • Board a train for Aguas Calientes, the main gateway to Machu Picchu.
    • Visit the ancient Inca site of Machu Picchu with your local guide, followed by an afternoon hike with your group.
  • Friday, June 23rd –  Travel to Ollantayambo
    • Travel by train to Ollantaytambo and then transfer to Pisac.
    • Explore the vibrant Pisac Market, known for its Peruvian crafts.
  • Saturday, June 24th – Service Project
  • Sunday, June 25th – Service Project/Travel to Cuzco
    • Finish Service work
    • Travel by bus to Cuzco
  • Monday, June 26th – Travel to Lima – Depart Peru
  • Tuesday, June 27th – Arrive Home
